GENERAL RESOURCES - SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT
Solid waste management is an important part of a company's environmental sustainability programs. Although it might seem like a small fish in a big pond, waste reduction and recycling are very visible (and generally easy) ways to show a company's commitment to the environment. Alternately, companies who do not have "basic" recycling programs (beverage containers and paper) are often not taken seriously by their employees when requesting participation in other resource conservation initiatives. Waste reduction and recycling are also a great way to bridge the at-work and at-home gap - and build positive habits.
